Drupal 7 feed aggregator not updating older dating in the us

An RSS document (called "feed", "web feed", or "channel") includes full or summarized text, and metadata, like publishing date and author's name.

A standard XML file format ensures compatibility with many different machines/programs.

I was on a clean install of 6.4 with Aggregator 6.4 I HAD as suggested in the org forums (not not of course condoned (don't frea K) hacked with Dreamweaver and changed it so it reads: variable set('drupal_http_request_fails', FALSE); $result-code = $code; return $result; } put the site offline then put it online, logged on and off and manual ran of Cron. All went well got a heartbeat, and feeds were functional and then like two hours ago Cron stopped communicating with Acquia and the feeds no longer work. I’m VERY new to this; so if you have any guideance please step by step it.

Simple--Drupal invokes hook_cron() implementations found in all enabled modules.

I am really at the end of my rope on this and the problem I am experiencing is the exact problem I thought would be resolved once I moved over to Acquia and for about forty minutes to my delight it was and then bam-it hit my again.
